Lions and Pincushions and Bears, Oh My!!

LITTLEflipedGOOSE

Pincushions, Rabbits, Chickens, Cows, Ducks, Mice, Frogs, Dogs, Cats, Bears, and Bunnies are abundant in Patternland.  Every pattern company out there seems to have a number of these.  For quite a few generations teddy bears are the most popular followed closely by Bunny Rabbits.  There were even oodles of crochet and knit patterns of our furry/feathered friends.  I’ve tried to find a few that were a bit different and worth a gander in this focus of mainly craft patterns that featured animals.  Many of these patterns make up into great, one-of-a-kind novelty gifts

A few comparisons back, (Comparisons XII), I compared these two dinosaur patterns (McCall’s 2577 and Simplicity 8378), but I overlooked a third pattern by Butterick; Butterick 5632. This particular Butterick pattern was published in the 1970s.
